Terms & Conditions for China Tours

Passports and Visas: To enter and leave USA all tour participants must be in possession of a valid passport or other document with a minimum of 6 months to expiration. Visas for China are required of all tour members. Detailed visa information will be mailed to you after the reservation is made.

Deposits and Final Payments: A deposit of US $300 per person is required for Rim-Pac International, Inc. (hereafter called Rim-Pac) to hold seats for you. This deposit forms part of your final payment which is due 80 days prior to departure. Reservations made within 60 days prior to departure require full payment at time of booking.

Tour Payments by Credit Cards
Rim-Pac accepts all major credit cards: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover Card. Credit card payments will be accepted through writing or telephone authorizations. By paying the tour with a credit card, the passenger also agrees that any refund claims and/or discrepancies on non-delivered services will be sent to Rim-Pac and that the passenger waives and relinquishes any and all rights to charge back items against the credit card.

Rim-Pac reserves the right to decline a credit card as a form of payment at our discretion.

Cancellations: Full refund, less $200.00 administrative fee per person for any cancellations received in writing up to 80 days prior to departure. Thereafter the following cancellation charges per person will apply:

• 79-60 days prior to departure: $400
• 59-40 days prior to departure: $800 (Yangtze River cruise tour is $1200)
• 39 days less before departure: 100% of tour cost

Health: Neither health certificates nor inoculations are required for entry into China.
Any physical or mental disability requiring special attention must be noted at the time of booking the tour. Rim-Pac reserves the right to exclude participants who are physically or mentally ill before departure or during the tour.

Insurance: Rim-Pac strongly recommends that tour participants purchase a travel insurance policy, including trip cancellation, trip interruption, accident, health and baggage.

Baggage: Free airline baggage allowance for the transpacific flight is 2 pieces per person with combined maximum linear dimensions of 107", for the domestic flight within China is 1 bag weighting no more than 45 pounds. We urge our tour participants to carry only one bag. No responsibility is accepted for loss or damage to baggage or any of the participantsÕ belongings.

Meals: Meals provided in the tour cost are indicated at the end of each day's sightseeing activities as: (B) for breakfast, (L) for lunch and (D) for dinner. Vegetarian food must be noted at the time the reservation is made. Breakfasts are American and Continental in the hotels; Lunches and dinners are Chinese style.

Hotel Accommodations: Accommodation is provided in deluxe and first class hotels, 5 & 4 stars or best in town and in twin bedded rooms with private facilities. If a change becomes necessary for any reason, hotels substituted will be of equivalent standard to those shown. Please note that it is standard policy that hotel rooms are not available for check-in before 12:00.



 

Yangtze River Cruise: Yangtze River Cruise inside China is Emperor cruise boats. In the event that an assigned cruise boat is not available due to reasons beyond Rim-Pac's control, Rim-Pac reserves the right to substitute it with another boat that is available.

Tour Price includes: Roundtrip economy air fare from indicated gateway cities, hotel accommodations, transportation and transfers; admission to indicated tourist spots and
3 meals daily and private guide and driver. Exclude free days if any.

Tour Price does not include: insurance, excess baggage, tips for tour guides, porters or tour manager or items of personal nature such as laundry, alcoholic beverages and telephone calls.

Responsibility: Rim-Pac and its divisions are acting only as agents for the airlines, cruise lines, hotels, ground operators and other suppliers of the travel and accomodations provided to tour members and have issued tickets and made arrangements as agents upon the express conditions that they shall have no liability for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, performance or irregularity which may occasioned for any reason by the suppliers or other companies engaged in conveying or accommodating tour members. Tour members shall contract directly with the airlines, hotels, and other suppliers involved and said contract shall constitute the sole contract of the tour member with respect to the tour. Rim-Pac shall not be liable for any acts, omissions, promises and failures of performance by any airline, cruise line, ground operator, other transportation company, hotel or any third party providing services for the tour. All tour itineraries, performance, and price may be affected by sickness, weather, strikes, wars, civil disturbance, quarantines, alternation in ship, air or railroad services or by other causes. Due to earlier production of the brochure, Rim-Pac reserves the right to withdraw an announced tour, substitute hotels, transportation carriers or cruises and to make such alterations in the itineraries as may be necessary or desirable for the proper carrying out of the tour.

Rim-Pac reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant, to expel any tour participant from the tour, to make changes in the itinerary whenever Rim-pac deems it necessary for the comfort, convienence or safety of the tour participants, or to cancel a tour at any time prior to departure. In such a case, full refund of payments will constitute full settlement with the passenger. All arrangements are arranged by local travel agencies in the related countries who reserve the right to change or readjust the tour schedule when necessary. Such actions are beyond the control of Rim-Pac In. All tour itineraries and prices are subject to change without notice.
